Customer requirements: Collate and overwrap 3-6 sleeves of golfballs at 60ppm in laminated, metallized, printed film with tight design requirements.
Challenges: The film layout had tight tolerances and information on all six sides of package. Information had to be legible even in sealing areas and could not slip or move or the art work would be askew.
Discoveries: The tolerances on the sleeves was magnified by the number of sleeves in the bundles and could push the overall bundle size out of tolerance. This was not uncovered until sleeves were bundled and wrapped.
Outcome: The carton former needed to be adjusted to minimize tolerances.
