Customer Requirements: Wrap 10 packs of telephone cards for Point of sale in retail operations. These are high value items, so shrinkage was a major concern. In addition the customer wanted to wrap 20 package. To protect the magnetic strips on each card, the wrap needed to be tight so the cards would not move against each other in shipment.
Challenges: Maintain control over the cards to keep them together during the wrap process.
Discoveries: The 10 pack was too short for a true tuck and fold overwrap, so the 10 pack need to be wrapped as an underlap, while the 20 pack needs the conventional tuck and fold overwrap.
Outcome: Customer was satisfied with both package wraps and his ability to shift from one to another.
