Customer Requirements: Brownies wrapping at 10 per minute.

Challenges: Enlarging the TTDF to accommodate the brownie size and making sure that the variability of the brownie was minimized.

Discoveries: the customer intended to run the machine in excess of its rated capacity and was not informed by the distributor of the intended output of the machine. In turn, Package was not informed of the customer’s planned throughput. This resulted in finding weak spots in the machine within the warranty period with parts that needed replacement to meet the demands being placed on the machine.

Outcome: Customer is running the machine at maximum speed (up to 15 per minute) 10 hours a day using two employees to load the machine.
